 The Operations Directorate
 
 
The Operations Directorate is divided into three divisions, each division catering for a major and separate business aim within the Directorate. The scope of the Operations Directorate includes:
  • The collection, management, data capture and processing of all kinds of data required so as to be able to determine the tax liability of taxpayers (tax returns, FS3s, FS7s etc.)
  • Maintaining a proper archiving system that focuses on orderly storage of documents, easy retrieval and security of archived documents
  • The provision of an effective taxpayer services facility that aims to provide assistance and guidance to taxpayers on income tax and social security contributions matters - which includes assistance in filling in Tax Returns, answering queries, providing information, provision of all types of tax forms, issuing adjustment forms and other similar tasks
  • Managing and controlling the collection of FSS and other final withholding tax and SSC tax from employers and self-employed and enforcing the correct adoption of FSS and SSC rules on employers
  • Managing fringe benefit taxation procedures and systems
