Why do I need to type characters from a picture to submit?
Typing the characters from a picture helps ensure that a person - not an automated program - is completing the feedback form.
This is important because attackers use harmful programs to try to send large amounts of feedback. Attackers can use this to cause problems for other users, such as sending junk e-mail messages or slowing down the service by repeatedly sending feedback simultaneously.
In most cases, an automated program can't recognize the characters in the picture.
