The standard outline guide for
the site is for an SVGA monitor with a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels
using 256 colors. Although these are the recommended settings, the site can
still be used by systems that are set up differently.
The Inland Revenue web site has
been fully tested on a number of browsers on the majority of existing
computer operating systems.
IRD.Gov.mt uses Cascading Style
Sheets (CSS) to format the textual information within each page. Only browsers
from version 4 upwards fully understand CSS formatting.
Any page can be printed from the web by selecting the Print
option from the File menu within Microsoft IE or Netscape, or else by clicking
on the Print button found in every form
To
bookmark a particular page select the ‘Add to Favorites’ option found under the
‘Favourites’ menu if using Microsoft Internet Explorer or by selecting the ‘Add
Bookmarks’ option found under the ‘Bookmarks’ menu if you are using Netscape
Navigator.
To
complete a search the user has to choose the Search button, enter a word or
collection of words into the text search box. Pressing the return key or
clicking on the search button will present the user with a listing of documents
which correspond to the search details. These results will be rated, the most
complete matches will be listed first, decreasing in relevance as the user goes
further down the list.
The
Inland Revenue web site supplies a feedback form to give users an opportunity
to voice their comments on the service.
Within
the form there is a section for general comments on the web site service in
general, there is also a section for users to inform the Inland Revenue
Department of any problems they may be experiencing.
Once the
form has been completed the user must click on the submit button at the bottom
of the page. This will forward the information to the Inland Revenue.
