In the case that the relevant car is not found on this price guideline and no actual purchase invoices when new exist, a 'notional' car price should be used.

A 'notional' price is the price of an 'equivalent' car of similar make to the relevant car having the same year of registration and which can be found on the price guidelines.

CPG guide   Cars first registered before 1995

The price of cars registered before 1995 for which no 'when new' purchase documents are available, or are 'leased' or have been bought second-hand should be determined on the price as shown for the most prior year in the price guidelines.

Note: This does not apply to 'classic' cars

CPG guide   Accessories

The cost of any optional accessories fitted to the car must be added to the car's relevant price as quoted in these guidelines.
